Funny comment of the day: Wyatt was playing with his friend X in the dojang waiting room this evening. X was taking the cushions off the chairs and Wyatt pointed to the security camera and said, "The camera is right there. Mrs. Ra can see you. She's just like God, only not as big."
Things I never thought I'd say:
Please don't use me as a Kleenex.
No Tae Kwon Do in the shower!!!
Eat your chicken before you can have more asparagus.
No you can't eat out of the dog's bowl.
We don't play WWF in the backseat while we're driving.
No sword fighting (light saber fight) while the car is in motion.
Just think, in a few short months (God willing and the creek don't rise) we'll have another one who, I'm sure, will want to practice his "highly dangerous moves" on his older brother. Can't wait! I've tried putting fundraising links over the side and can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

Things Heard Around Here Lately
Wyatt's advice to HZ: "Never hold your breath for a really long time. It's not good for your health. Trust me, I know!"
"Mom, you can't stop kissing me. I'm irresistible."
While Wyatt was playing with his pirates I overheard this conversation between his men: "Men, this will take a lot of mental fortitude. By the way, we were going to launch a secret attack, but that wouldn't be fair."
"Mom, you are not as old as you look."
This boy of ours is good for a chuckle I'll tell ya.

I Live in a Toy Shop
I realized the other day there are a lot of toys in my house. Every where I look I see toys. Toys piled in the corner ("I put them where they belong sort of mom."). Toys hanging out of the toy bins. Toys on the sofa, under the blanket (when did my sofa become a toy box?) Toys under my recliner. I think it's time to purge. But that takes time and energy I don't have at the moment.... Maybe tomorrow.
By the way, happy 91st birthday Dad.

My Son's Heart
In the grocery store this afternoon Wyatt said to me, "Mom, after we bring HZ home I think we need to give our extra money to bring other ones home." I asked if he meant another sibling. No, he meant other children to their families. I do love that boy.
In other news Wyatt participated in his first martial arts competition. He was very nervous in the individual Kata (Poomse for those of us in Tae Kwon Do). He didn't place, but he and a kind friend, JC, placed second in team Kata. I knew he would do better in the team competition. He loves demonstrations. I am so proud of Wyatt for pushing himself beyond his comfort zone. You rock buddy!

What I Did Today
I peeled and cut nine thousand pounds of apples this afternoon. Okay, not that many, but it felt like it. Made two apples pies and a big pot of applesauce. My house smells yummy! Nana still makes the best though. My friend and her daughter came over to keep us company. I love how Wyatt and J play together. They can entertain each other for hours. And quietly sometimes. We had a brunch party for Nana's and Papa's birthdays. Pretty much a low key day.

Fund Raiser News
Well, you guys are certainly generous. We have raised $802 with our M and M fund raiser so far. If you would like another tube of M and Ms let me know. Check out the coffee fundraiser in the above post. This whole blogging thing is kind of scary for me. I will try to be witty and entertaining, but I'm not promising much. Life goes on steadily and uneventfully (thankfully).

Our family is growing!
Hello friends,
I'm new at this blogging business, but here we go! There is big news on our home front. We are working through the grueling paper pregnancy once again! This time we are forging forward on a crazy adventure to bring home a brother for Wyatt. He is a little man by the name of Joey. We can't wait to get him home to a family of his own, to love on him and to get him the cardiac care he needs so much...
I'm inviting you to follow along on our journey, and support his homecoming in whatever way you can...
How can you help?
- we need your prayer support!
- please follow this blog ( check out the sidebar to follow )
- help us raise awareness by sharing this blog with others
- fundraising is always a need, more to come about that...but every dollar helps
-buy coffee! a portion goes toward our fundraising...https://justlovecoffee.com/about/beneficiary/wyattsbrother/
- more prayer!
Please check back often as we keep you updated on our journey!
Thanks for sharing our adventure... Kathy
